Sometimes its the waters we come from, we go back to. So did long time ProLogic and DD Bait friend from Germany, Christian Münz. He started carp fishing on a local gravel pit some 14 years ago and caught his first boilie carp, his first double and his first twenty on that water. Then he left for bigger targets.

Now and then, he came back and as he knows the lake so well, he always catches a few. But it was his long time dream to finally catch a 15kg+ in this lake. That goal, he finally reached: On a misty, rainy, cold November morning after a night with some smaller fish, Christian finally netted a golden mirror at 16 kilos – for him, this fish is worth a fourty of which he caught several on other waters.

Christian is a big fan of the ProLogic rods and uses the Tournament Series in 12ft 23/4lbs. He was out one more night since then with only one smaller fish to show, but he continues his campaign. Rumours are going around that the lake now holds a 20kg+ mirror. Well, who else should prove it if not Chris? Good luck!

"Usually my long time fishing partner and best friend Christoph and me finish our regular weekly friday fishing at the beginning of December when the water temperature gets lower than 6 Degrees Celsius. This year, however, I will do another long trip to France in December - testing the new DD Bait Range - and we decided to have a kind of a "season ending fishing" in november on a very special lake: We had the invitation to the lake of a friend - the owner of the Prologic Pro Shop www.carp-corner.net.

The lake is called "Bärensee" and is situated in a beautiful wildlife resort with lots of Europe's biggest animals (bear, boar, wolf, eagle, etc) right next to you in game reserves. It can be booked weekly just by two persons. The lake itself is around 4 hectars with very interesting fish up to 24kilos.
And because of the warm, strong wind we were confident that we would catch a fish.

However, when we arrived the water temperatures were very low. So instead of fishing only the deeper parts of the lake, we decided to fish really shallow because this water usually gets warmer when the wind is that strong in the late season. And that tactic paid off - we landed beautiful fish in just 0,8m and 1,2m water depths right next to overhanging trees.

The trusted C4 hook size 6 did the job again very well. And it was the first real test for the new DD Bait Boilies and both, the shop owner and the carp, really liked the new DD Bait Guarana Redbull Boilies. A Snowman with just a few freebies did the trick to fool fish of 12 and 18kg. The strong smell and amazing taste of this bait is still in my mind (and hands :-) ) So get out there and catch a late season fish in the shallows! Best regards Bastian!"
